10:40-14:30 | Gatwick to Barbados VS29 Girls to meet at Francis Holland School at 6.30am on Wednesday 21st Oct, with one hand luggage and one case. Georgia, Agatha, Annabel and Anastasia report-
'On Wednesday 21st October, the girls met at school at 6:30 all excited and ready to travel to Barbados. After arriving at Gatwick, the girls had some free time to get the flight’s necessities and eagerly boarded the plane. During the long flight, the girls were able to unwind and enjoy the movies available on board. The flight seemed shorter than anticipated and after nine hours we landed in Barbados, where we were greeted by the warm weather and friendly Bajans. We swiftly collected our luggage and made our way to the Palms Resort, where we stayed for the week. The girls settled in quickly, had an early dinner and fell asleep, tired after the long day. The girls were up early the next day ready to explore the local town, Sunset Crest. After breakfast, we set out for the supermarket , the girls enjoyed being independent as they bought food for the week ahead. We returned to the hotel and relaxed in the sun by the pool. In the evening, the girls got ready to head to a nearby restaurant for dinner. After arriving back at the hotel, the girls went to bed, excited for the island safari early the next morning.' 08:30-13:00 | Island Safari Breakfast- 7.30am
Discovery safari- pick up at 8.30am
We will enjoy a island safari on Friday morning.
We will be back at the hotel for the afternoon, and will be discussing teams and tactics for the match on Saturday.
An early night is essential before the big first match.
Carolina and Giorgia report-
'On the second day, the Barbados tour party embarked on an exciting safari, that took us to spectacular views around the island. Our favorite tunes blared out of speakers as we travelled along bumpy roads and witnessed the exotic culture of Barbados which we managed to take many pictures of. The friendly people of the island waved as we passed and we stopped at various points with great views of the coast. After stopping at 'Bathsheba beach' where some bought handmade bracelets, we drove on for another hour before arriving at our idyllic lunch spot in a cove. Finally, we set off back to the hotel singing along to our playlists, which saw us back at 1:30 pm. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing by the pool and was followed by dinner at the hotel. Then it was an early night to prepare for an 5am start the next day.'

This is next to the national stadium, and near the Commamere School. Match Oppositon- Combine Schools NC 16 Match start time- 7.15am Match finish time- 10am Afternoon- leisure time and match reflection.
Katie and Caitlin report- ' The girls had an early start at 5 am. They had a quick breakfast got on the bus at 5:45. When they arrived at the stadium, they did a slow but efficient warm up as it was very hot. The first match was the A group. We got on the court with the sun already blazing. We used all the tactics we learnt on Friday training, since this was our first match we where nervous to see the play of the Combine schools. We played our hardest and missed the win by 2 goals. We kept fighting until the very end and tried our absolute best. By the end we where sweaty, out of breath and determined to win the next. The B's played next. The girls played their hardest and fought through the heat. They played well, passing the ball swiftly around the court but the defence from the combined schools was too good and they took the lead. The girls did not give up and played a great game of netball even though it resulted in a loss. After the matches the girls had a day by the pool to regain energy for the next day of tough netball matches. Well done everyone' View details | Sun 25 Oct 2015 |

Mona, Daisie, Lily and Iliana report- 'Today we woke to a more relaxed start, allowing us to recover from the previous day's tough match. After having a nutritious breakfast, we walked to the supermarket to stock up on supplies for the match ahead. After having a few hours to relax by the pool and talking team tactics, it was now time for the game. We discovered that it would be more tactical to balance out the teams so after shifting positions of players, everyone quickly adjusted to their new positions and team mates.
The light blue team faced tough opposition, and displayed great fight in each quarter. Our tactics showed success as we won each quarter, resulting in an overall win. This was especially thanks to Carolina for her fantastic defending with great interceptions and pressure, as well as Anastasia's agile movement and superb shooting in the 'D'. The navy blue team faced a mentally and physically challenging opposition. Unfortunately, this showed throughout the course of the match. However, the girls showed tremendous perseverance as they did not give up in their toughest match yet. Annabel and Caitlyn demonstrated excellent work in the centre third, gaining control of their opponents. Although they came away with a close loss, the dark blues left feeling mentally stronger and even more determined to win their next match.
We then returned to a much needed cool down in the pool, and proceeded to a lovely dinner at the hotel ready for our final match the next day.'

Evie and Cordelia report- 'On Monday the 26th October we started the morning by going around to the boutiques to discover their local specialties. After getting back we made our lunches and prepared for our upcoming events against another Bajan school team. We took a taxi to the school and watched the Springer girls in their sport lesson. It was very interesting to watch a Bajan PE lesson, which is so different from the lessons we receive at FHS. Once the school bell rung- we were able to get onto the court and prepare for our final tour matches. The light blue team fought hard with some very good motivation by Georgia, pressure was applied throughout the whole game. The dark blue team, with a few changes from the previous match, fought very bravely against the tough players and took some knocks but the pressure and enthusiasm never got lost on the way. The shooting was accurate which kept our lead throughout the game being secured by Mona and Anastasia who had excellent movement in the circle. With our excellent techniques and teamwork we came away with a win. After our long day we all went down to the pool to relax while going over where we could of improved, Illy Lily, Mona and a little help from Daisy they managed to get a rally of 129 of volleyball in the pool which the teachers even after their efforts could not beat.'
